Project Challenges

Across this project, and the Ablett House scheme, HE Simm worked extremely hard to meet the client aspirations and expectations. Our attitude and commitment was appreciated and recognised by both the client and Pochin Construction Ltd. We demonstrated innovation throughout the project and provided cost savings to the client; an example of which was changing the heating from a wet system to electric.

The Results

The project was successfully handed over on time, within budget and defect free.

Meet the Team

Andy Peers – Senior Engineer

Andy provided fantastic support to his team and Pochin throughout the construction process, encouraging a collaborative team ethic at all times. His attention to detail ensured that the project was completed with zero defects despite the added pressure of a vastly reduced commissioning period which had to be carefully managed through.

“I wanted to say a huge thank you for all of your efforts in delivering a first class building and being prepared to do it differently!

I think we would all agree that the supply chain workshops have made a difference and is something we should do in some shape or form on all projects”

Jon Pochin, Managing Director, Pochin Construction Ltd
