Project Challenges

The project team met and overcame various challenges to lead to its successful delivery. These included working with a new client, for both HE Simm and Pochin Construction Ltd and delivering 2 schemes concurrently within a tight city centre location.

In order to achieve this the site team engaged early through collaborative workshops, which benefits were immense.

The Results

The project start was initially delayed by 3 months and together with the late availability of incoming services resulted in a shortened commissioning period, but with the commitment and hard work delivered by the site team the project was successfully handed over on time, within budget and defect free.

Meet the Team

Peter SouthworthSenior Project Manager

Peter provided expertise, knowledge and support to his team throughout the design and construction process, encouraging a collaborative approach at all levels. His leadership and attention to detail ensured that the project was completed with zero defects despite a compressed commissioning programme being implemented.

“I wanted to say a huge thank you for all of your efforts in delivering a first class building and being prepared to do it differently!

I think we would all agree that the supply chain workshops have made a difference and is something we should do in some shape or form on all projects”

Jon Pochin, Managing Director, Pochin Construction Ltd
