Training and Development
Continuous professional development is part of our culture. We develop talent management programmes tailored to suit each employee’s individual needs, and endeavour to enrol them on training courses which will provide the specific skills they need to excel in their role.
We want our employees to love what they do, to feel motivated and enthusiastic, and to believe that there are opportunities for progression and career advancement within the company. Our appraisal system and personalised career development plans ensure that they understand the opportunities open to them. Indeed, many of our current Managers and Directors began their careers at HE Simm as trainees and apprentices, showing that we are committed to building careers.
Opportunities for Young People
We understand the challenges that young people face when entering the increasingly competitive job market. We are committed to helping them develop the skills and experience they need to thrive, working with colleges and universities to provide HE Simm apprentice, trainee and graduate schemes. This also future-proofs our business by anticipating and responding to future skills gaps which is integral to long-term sustainability.
